Andy Meisner for County Treasurer

Friend to Friend

Property values in Oakland County are dropping for the first time in 22 years, while 2007 saw 14,071 foreclosures and foreclosure filings -- in our own Oakland County of all places!

Welcome to the Andy Meisner Online Headquarters!

As Treasurer, Andy Meisner will protect the value of our homes, neighborhoods and businesses, while fighting to restore the values that make Oakland County great: prosperity, innovation, and opportunity.

While serving in the Michigan legislature, Andy championed state investment in job creation and small business development, and promoted or authored legislation to lower "pop-up" property taxes, fight foreclosures, and create the 21st Century Jobs Fund and the Michigan Spirit of Entrepreneurship Initiative. The Small Business Foundation of Michigan described his leadership on entrepreneurship as "one of the most promising things to come out of government in a long, long time."

There are many best practices proven to protect property values and prevent foreclosures that are working in other counties. Oakland County is a great place that deserves the best policies, which Andy Meisner will implement as our Oakland County Treasurer.

For example, Andy's Prosperous Neighborhoods Initiative will take full advantage of a powerful economic tool that allows treasurers to purchase and manage tax- and mortgage-foreclosed properties.

On November 4, 2008, please vote for Andy Meisner for Oakland County Treasurer. Also, consider volunteering to help so together we can make the 2008 election great for Oakland County's future!
